Dr Jörg-Thomas Dierks has 30 years of healthcare experience, having held several senior executive positions in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he has been the CEO of Meda, a Sweden-based speciality pharma company, a position he has held since 2013. Before becoming CEO, Jörg was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Meda from 2005 to 2013 and also assumed the role of Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) for a period of time. He was instrumental in growing the business over many years and leading its sale to Mylan in 2016 for $10bn. Before joining Meda, Jörg was the COO of Viatris, a Germany-based pharmaceutical company.
Born in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, Dr Dierks graduated from Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität zu Mainz with a degree in human medicine, which included one year working in a hospital in Koblenz in 1986, earning him the title of medical doctor. One year later, Jörg was awarded the title of Doctor of Medicine. Dr Dierks also studied Business Administration for Scientists at the Fernuniversität Gesamthochschule in Hagen.
Lluís Pérez is the Chief Financial Officer of Neuraxpharm and responsible for growing Neuraxpharm’s footprint through M&A activities.
Lluís' professional background and expertise are focused in the fields of Corporate Finance Control and Finance, having extensive international experience in large, multinational companies.
For more than eight years, Lluís developed his professional career as Group CFO in various Business Units of the second largest steel producer in Europe, Celsa Group (with bases in the UK, Scandinavia and Poland) and as Group CFO of Goldcar (private equity owned), his most recent position.
He is an expert in the integration of subsidiaries, in coordinating multi-site Finance departments, refinancing, analysing the feasibility of new investments and leading M&A processes.
Lluís holds a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Business Economics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and an E-MBA.
With more than 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Aida Fernandez is a global HR professional with extensive business knowledge.
Aida has ample experience in local and global roles, which includes working in international headquarters. She has a proven track record in implementing organisational changes, applying change management methodology and ensuring business success in local, global and corporate environments in different countries and cultures.
Aida combines her human resources background with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an Executive MBA from ESADE.
She developed her professional career in Novartis and in one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms.
Burghard Burczyk is Chief Technology Officer at Neuraxpharm, being responsible for the production on FDF including the manufacturing plant of Neuraxpharm Lesvi FDF.
He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in international companies and is an expert in successfully implementing strategic planning in the fields of purchasing, production, technology and supply chain.
He has a proven track record in product transfer and in procurement management within several pharmaceutical companies, including Haupt Pharma, Aristo and Ethypharm. At the same time, Burghard Burczyk has extensive experience as a strategic consultant in the supply chain and tender business.
Burghard has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Magdeburg, Germany.
Francisco Jurado has more than 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in product selection and the definition of strategic R&D projects, offering extensive knowledge in generic drug development, new chemical entities (NCE), line extensions and OTC products.
He has been leading multidisciplinary teams of a high functional capacity in the areas of Pharmaceutical Development (formulation and analytical), Clinical Development, Intellectual Property, Regulatory Affairs and Project Management, in addition to integrating all internal capabilities including everything from APIs to final dosage forms.
Francisco has developed his professional career as the Head of Pharmaceutical Development at Lacer Laboratories, R&D Pharma Director at Chemo Group, and his last position as the Corporate Product Development Director at Ferrer Group.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona and he is a Pharmaceutical Industry Specialist.
Dan Furrer has over 20 years of experience in building and running marketing operations in the pharmaceutical industry, having participated in several company turnarounds, product and company acquisitions, company integrations and strategic changes.
He joins Neuraxpharm from Mylan, where he was Country Manager in the Czech Republic, and Meda Pharma, prior to the acquisition by Mylan, where he was Country Manager for Germany and Switzerland. He was also Country Manager at Spirig Pharma Switzerland and held several positions in marketing, including Head of International Marketing, Marketing & Regional Sales Manager and Product Manager in CNS at different companies.
Dan Furrer holds a Masters in Industrial Management and a Masters in Pharmacy from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
Javier Mercadé is Neuraxpharm’s Commercial South Region Officer (Spain, Italy and Portugal) and General Manager of Neuraxpharm Spain, Italy and Portugal. He has more than 25 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry in various senior roles.
With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Craig Bowen is an expert in Sales & Business strategy management and offers an extensive knowledge of the UK and Irish markets. Before joining Neuraxpharm UK, Craig was Associate Director and Commercial Head for UK and Ireland in Par Laboratories where he led the creation and initial set up of the Par affiliate in the UK and implemented the commercial strategy to launch Par products into the UK, EU and other international markets.
Prior to Par Laboratories, Craig held senior positions in multinational pharmaceuticals companies such as Sanofi Group, Flynn Pharma and Dr. Reddy’s. Previously he worked for more than 10 years in Mylan Pharmaceuticals, where he was Head of UK Sales Operation, responsible for the UK & Ireland sales and commercial departments, and focused on creating major new business streams for the company. Craig holds UK higher education qualifications in Business & Finance Management from Coleg Glan Hafren in Cardiff, Wales.
