Dr Guillermo Garcia Ribas
Dr. Guillermo García Ribas is an associate Physician at the Neurology service of the Ramón y Cajal University, hospital where he is part of the Neurodegenerative Diseases unit. Previosly he has been part of the medical research teams of various pharmaceutical laboratories, conducting clinical trials and research studies in the field of Alzheimer’s disease and other degenerative diseases. Dr. Guillermo García Ribas holds a Bachelor degree in Medicine from the University of Madrid, as well as a specialisation in Neurology from Ramón y Cajal University Hospital. He is the author of numerous scientific publications in which he has been mainly interested in the evaluation of biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, he is coordinator of cognitive and behavioral Neurology study group of the Madrid Neurology Association. He is the scientific coordinator of the website knowalzheimer.com dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease. He was coordinator of the Behaviour and dementia study group of the Spanish Neurology Society (SEN) and he has participated in consensus documents aimed at improving the care of people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families.
