Er war \u00fcber viele Jahre hinweg ma\u00dfgeblich am Wachstum des Unternehmens beteiligt und leitete dessen Verkauf an Mylan im Jahr 2016 f\u00fcr 10 Milliarden US-Dollar.<\/p><p>Bevor er zu Meda kam, war er Chief Operating Officer bei Viatris, einem Pharmaunternehmen mit Sitz in Deutschland.<\/p><p><!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->Der geb\u00fcrtige Bad Kreuznacher absolvierte sein Studium der Humanmedizin an der Johannes-Gutenberg-Universit\u00e4t zu Mainz. Unter anderem arbeitete er 1986 ein Jahr lang in einem Koblenzer Krankenhaus und erwarb den Titel eines Doktors der Medizin.
